Based on what we learned in the previous chapter, you now know that in order to start our System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 deployment, we should create the install accounts and deploy the SQL database.
As discussed, VMM is required to be an Active Directory member server.
In addition, it is up to business requirements and your design to decide where you will deploy the SQL database. However, as previously stated in Chapter 1, VMM 2012 Architecture, you should always have SQL installed on a separate server. In this way, you are safe to grow and you will have the scalability and high availability (if installing a SQL Cluster) on the database side.
