Creating new classes


Sooner or later you are likely to come into the situation where you want to store data in your CMDB for which you are unable to find a class. Examples include monitors, mobile phones, racks, buildings, locations, cost centers, and so on.

The Service Manager 2012 class model not only allows for classes to be extended, but also offers the capability to add new classes to the class model.

Getting ready
