DNS considerations

DNS is an important consideration for every URA deployment, but particularly so for multiple geographic locations. As you may recall from Chapter 2, Planning a Unified Remote Access Deployment, the Name Resolution Policy Table (NRPT) is the mechanism by which URA clients know which resources are to be accessed via the URA tunnel, and which are to be contacted directly over the internet. For example, if your domain is Createhive.com, then the NRPT rules would typically say that any resource related to that domain, except the network location server, would go through the tunnel. What could make this a bit more complicated is that if you're looking into this, you are likely running a complex domain environment. If you have a large forest with multiple domains, each separate name space will have to be distinctively added to the NRPT.
