Checking the list of publishing packages for the user


To verify the list of packages assigned to a user when using the App-V Publishing server infrastructure, an end user can visit the publishing server's address in a web browser to view the XML document created by the publishing server. This can be particularly useful when checking whether the packages have been correctly assigned to user groups.

Getting ready

To complete these steps, you will need to have deployed an App-V Publishing server infrastructure and have the App-V client installed on a Windows 8.1 PC.

The following list shows you the high-level steps involved in this recipe and the tasks required to complete the recipe (all of the actions in this recipe will take place on your Windows 8.1 client):

  • Visit the App-V Publishing Server URL in a web browser
