Configuring a system restore


System Restore is a feature that has been part of the Windows operating system from the version of Windows XP. As you might know, it is a feature that enables you to restore your computer to a state in which it worked well. System Restore uses restore points to create a snapshot of a computer's state at a given time and date. These restore points are created automatically and help restore personal files as well. In Windows 10, you must enable System Restore, as it is not enabled by default. 

Enabling System Restore

To enable System Restore in your Windows 10 computer, complete the following steps:

  1. Repeat Step 1 to Step 3 from the Creating a recovery drive section.
  2. In the System and Security window, click on System.
  3. In the System window, from the navigation menu, select System Protection.
