From my experience as a Microsoft-Certified Trainer (MCT), I have encountered many users who do not back up their personal data. Perhaps that is because today, most rely on cloud services such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and so on. However, you have to be prepared for any unexpected situation, because computer devices are simply unpredictable. Hence, to be prepared for situations when your computer does not work and you cannot access your data, it is recommended that you make a regular backup of your data. Simply put, a backup is the method of creating another set (that is, copy) of your data. That way, if loss of a data occurs, then a backup can be used to recover the data.
