Connecting to an Amazon RDS DB instance

Once the Amazon RDS DB instance is created, you can connect to it to perform read/write operations as well as day-to-day maintenance activities. Before connecting to the DB instance, ensure that the port to connect with the DB instance is allowed in the firewall or security group. Also, ensure that the source IP from where you need to connect to the DB instance is allowed in the security group.
