Logical versus physical field names
Let's take a moment to think about how web applications work. They are a two-tier system containing a database (low level) and the application (high level). The user interfaces with web forms, which, when combined, form the enterprise system. The forms contain fields, and these fields are named.
A user does not have the ability to see the form field names. They see text labels next to the field that contains the data. If you were to use Google Chrome's inspector or an extension such as Level up, you could obtain the field names used on the form.
