Summary
In this chapter, we have looked at the use of RESTful data by creating a web service. This was extended to dealing with dynamic data from the input message. We then adapted our exercise to get a known record, then to list records by criteria and return the findings as an output message to Postman.
We then extended this further by updating a series of records with given criteria specified in the Postman message.
Finally, we looked at where we use logical, in contrast to physical, field naming to access our fields. We learned that CDS operates at the application level, and that the logic app dynamic catalog is also logical in its structure, but code view and OData queries use the physical field name.
This chapter has tested not only your JSON but also your abilities with logic and how to cycle through records, the scoping of data, and how to best query records using OData, as well as direct access using a Get records action and a given GUID.
