Difficulty scaling up
One of the other anti-patterns in DevOps comes with the ability to scale up what we are doing. Most businesses will encounter issues in scaling up when they start out. With growth, especially rapid growth, comes challenges in scaling up your business.
Scaling your business is difficult. Many changes are needed and can derail even the most successful business. Some challenges we can expect with scaling up are as follows:
- Having to scale before market fit
- Working with the wrong people
- Focusing too much on sales and marketing
- Price competition
- Management structure as growth occurs
- Ignoring issues
- Forgetting making yourself lean is part of scaling
