Deploying an App Engine application

We have already seen how the applications are deployed to App Engine from a high level. Now, let's have a look at the actual steps we need to take. Here, we will provision a Hello World application. The application leverages the Python Flask web server. As you can probably imagine, the application will display static Hello World text on the website. Let's get started:

  1. To start, go to the Google Cloud Console and switch to the project that your application will be deployed to. From the hamburger menu, choose App Engine. On the welcome screen, click the Create Application button:
