Deleting the QoS rules on a Meraki device
The last kind of operation we sometimes need to carry out is deleting a configuration. For REST APIs, this functionality can be achieved by sending a DELETE
request. In this recipe, we are going to learn how to use a combination of GET
and DELETE
requests to delete all QoS rules that were previously present in our specific network.
Getting ready
Open your code editor and start by creating a file called qos.py
. Next, navigate your terminal to the same directory that you just created the qos.py
file in.
In your terminal, you'll also have to set an environment variable called MERAKI_DASHBOARD_API_KEY
, whose value is the API key for your Meraki organization. Please refer to the Authenticating web requests recipe for an introduction on how to set environment variables on different operating systems.
