Managing Device Compliance

In Chapter 1, Implementing Mobile Device Management (MDM), we introduced you to mobile device management, and we started looking at device compliance. In this chapter, we will cover device compliance in more detail and prepare you for exam questions regarding setting up compliance and conditional access policies.

Device compliance is determined by the settings that the administrators configure in the admin portal. For any devices BYOD or otherwise to be allowed access to company apps, services, and data, they must meet a set of criteria.

In this chapter, you'll learn about the following exam topics:

  • Planning for device compliance
  • Configuring device compliance policies
  • Designing, creating, and managing conditional access policies
