Installing System Insights

Before System Insights can be used, it needs to be installed. System Insights is an extension of the Windows Admin Center and can be configured by either the Admin Center web UI or via PowerShell. In this recipe, we will look at both ways of installing the extension.

Getting ready

To install System Insights, you will need a working copy of the Windows Admin Center version 1909 or higher, and a Windows Server 2019 server you wish to monitor. We will be performing this recipe from the computer where Windows Admin Center was installed.
