Turning Spreadsheets into Corporate Data

Throughout the book so far, we’ve been discussing how to go about using data from spreadsheets to create a corporate database. At this point, we’ve thoroughly examined every step in this process, and it’s finally time to take a look at the end result: the corporate database.
The corporate database is the result of the spreadsheet disambiguation process. The data that comes out of spreadsheet disambiguation is a “working” database called the intermediate database. It is this intermediate database that serves as the basis for input into the corporate database.
The corporate database can be created in whatever database format is desired. Typical database formats include Oracle, SQL Server, UDB/DB2, Teradata, and others.
