In this chapter, we covered the main features and functionalities offered in SQL Server Reporting Services 2012, including a breakdown of report components, development experience, extensibility, and security. By now, readers should have a general understanding of the capabilities offered in SQL Server Reporting Services. In the next chapter, we are going to roll up our sleeves and step into the shoes of a report developer to create a report and deploy it to a report server.
