In this chapter, you learned about the Hadoop logging process, daemons, jobs write logs and their locations, and how you can control the log level. You also looked at the log4j log appender and how you can enable audit for Hadoop events. In the next chapter, you'll look at the HDFS checks and how to set up Nagios checks for that.
