In this chapter, we have demonstrated some capabilities of Mathematica to create interactive information-visualization prototypes. Starting with the statistical plot functions, we have eventually moved on to text and graph data. We have demonstrated a possible visualization technique to view high-dimensional data. Then, we have created our own word cloud tool that reveals the frequency evolution of words over the length of a document. Some of Mathematica's graph data visualization capabilities are demonstrated in the *Graphs and networks* section. Finally, we have developed an interactive chord diagram tool to view the character relationships in the novel Les Misérables. In the next chapter, we will write a map visualization tool and discuss some essential aesthetic matters that every data visualization scientist should know.
