Summary


In this chapter, you learned what the CONNECT engine is, and the purpose it should be used for. You also learned how to read and write CSV, XML, and HTML data directly from MariaDB. Then we went deeper into the CONNECT engine, and used the XCOL, OCCUR, and PIVOT tables to transform data.

In the end, you also learned more about the MariaDB community, and some general information about the third-party plugins and storage engines distributed with MariaDB.
