In the previous chapter, we looked at pitfalls and how a consultant can avoid falling into those pitfalls. A lot of effort goes into making a project successful, and it’s important that a consultant should avoid common mistakes leading to pitfalls.

The chapter covered some of the common mistakes which can be avoided, such as not listening properly, lack of documentation, over committing, and not ensuring enough hand holding of the end user.

In this chapter, we will look at knowledge sets. This chapter is primarily intended to make you aware about some of the industry verticals and become familiar with the way they function. The chapter is also intended to make you familiar with some of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which are looked at by business users. The chapter should be able to help consultants relate to the business requirements more easily.
