In this chapter, we learned all about performance and how to achieve it in RethinkDB. We went deeper into clustering with use cases and learned how to perform replication, achieving the highest level of scalability and availability. We also learnt about sharding and how to achieve it in RethinkDB. Above all, we saw how the RethinkDB team has managed to provide us the tools and web console to perform such tedious operations easily.
We also learned about query optimization, how we can use a query profiler to monitor the time our database is taking to execute the query, and how we can use indexing to improve that time. We looked at some useful tips to help us write better queries for RethinkDB.
In the following chapter, we are going to learn about the administration of RethinkDB, how we can allow user access control, and how to perform various kinds of troubleshooting and failovers.
