Chapter 8. Reporting Solutions for BI – Integration

Although most reporting solutions are designed for handling OLTP solutions, reports play a major role in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions as well. Generally, Production Reports or Formal Reports (sometimes called Paginated Reports) are the ones we create for OLTP solutions, whereas Analytical Reports, Dashboard Reports, and Mashup Reports are created for Business Intelligence solutions.
