QuickSight provides a wide range of graphics to effectively analyze your data. The typical workflow to create insights is to first create datasets in QuickSights from sources like S3; then, prepare data; next create, QuickSight analysis, and then add visuals to analysis. For a given analysis, you can select one or more visualization options such as bar charts, lines charts, pivot tables, scatter plots, tree maps, pie charts, or heat maps.
QuickSight provides a storyboarding feature that can be used to preserve snapshots of an analysis and re-play the visuals in sequence as scenes of the Story. QuickSight also has a dashboard feature that can be used to share a read-only snapshot of an analysis to other QuickSight users.
However, QuickSight does lag behind its competitors in the feature set for visualizations and I expect, in future releases, it will enhance these capabilities.
