We are still at the very beginning of an exciting journey. AI is an emerging field in which a lot has yet to be discovered and proven mathematically. Just by looking back to 2010, which is nine years ago at the time of writing, the landscape is totally different. At that time, data science and machine learning were just foggy terms for a few researchers, and most people were extremely skeptical about machines taking autonomous decisions. Now, mathematics and a data-driven culture are considered almost universally to be the basis of any respectable business, from large to small.
