Conclusions

We are still at the very beginning of an exciting journey. AI is an emerging field in which a lot has yet to be discovered and proven mathematically. Just by looking back to 2010, which is nine years ago at the time of writing, the landscape is totally different. At that time, data science and machine learning were just foggy terms for a few researchers, and most people were extremely skeptical about machines taking autonomous decisions. Now, mathematics and a data-driven culture are considered almost universally to be the basis of any respectable business, from large to small.

Lastly, I just want to say that it's incredibly exciting to be part of this revolution, which will surely be regarded by our descendants as one of the most important moments in human history. I hope we have conveyed the main concepts and ideas behind some of the most important algorithms...
