Chapter 7. Administration - Maintaining and Monitoring Your Project

The previous chapter introduced some MicroStrategy Configuration Objects that helped to create different levels of Security within the platform. We will now move on to our last topic, which also relates to Configuration Objects, but serving different purposes. The first set of objects allows administrators to establish connectivity with data sources while the second set controls how users subscribe to and refresh Reports and Intelligent Cubes. Next, we will explore some of MicroStrategy Developers' monitoring capabilities. The last pages of this book will be reserved for talking about the capabilities of three Administration tools: Object Manager, Integrity Manager, and Command Manager.
