Introduction to X-Pack

X-Pack extensions can be installed on top of the Elastic Stack to enable security, monitoring, reporting, alerting and graphs, and more. X-Pack is introduced from Elastic Stack version 5.0.0. Before that, we have separate plugins such as Shield, Marvel, and Watcher that can be installed as per the requirements. In X-Pack, all these features are bundled together. Another issue before X-Pack came was having to match the versions of each plugin, but now all we need to do is install the right version of X-Pack and all features will be available without any version issues. The first step to explore X-Pack is to install it on your Elastic Stack. So, let's first install X-Pack and then we can start exploring.
