Building a TTS system

Speech synthesis is the technique that is used for the artificial reproduction of the human voice. A system used for this purpose is called a speech synthesizer and can be implemented by software or hardware. Speech synthesis systems are also known as TTS systems due to their ability to convert text into speech. There are also systems that convert phonetic symbols into speech.

Speech synthesis can be achieved by concatenating recordings of vocals stored in a database. The various systems of speech synthesis differ according to the size of the stored voice samples.
