In this chapter, we covered the server, database, and data-level security options for both types of Analysis Services models. Multidimensional models have a much richer and more sophisticated set of options. You can use both the design of the database and the security options to build a robust security solution. Tabular models have fewer options and must be included in the overall design of the solution. In this chapter, you learned how to manage the security setting at the server level and create roles in both types of models. Data is the lifeblood of business, and these skills will help you protect this greatest of assets.
