What is Generative AI?

Back in Chapter 1, Identify Features of Common AI Workloads, we introduced some broad concepts around Generative AI.

Generative AI represents one of the most exciting advancements in the field of AI, marking a significant shift from traditional AI systems, which are primarily designed to recognize patterns or make predictions based on input data (largely, statistical analysis and prediction).
