Before we explore modern AI, let’s briefly look back in history to a time way before AI was even a topic. It’s 1891 and the electrical revolution is in full swing. The Edison General Electric Company was mandated to install the very first electrical power lines in the White House. The wires are buried in plaster, with convenient round switches in each room for turning lights on and off. However, they remain largely unused. As it turned out, then President Benjamin Harrison and his family were too scared to even touch them, fearing a shock from the invisible power in the wires. As a result, they left it to their staff to operate the switches.
