Getting an account

Publishing and sharing work is typically done through the Power BI service. As we covered in Chapter 1, Introduction to Business Intelligence and Power BI, the Power BI service is a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) online platform and can be used for report creating and editing and data ingest, as well as for sharing, collaborating, and viewing reports. However, in order to use the Power BI service, you need to have an Office 365 account. Once you have an Office 365 account, you can sign up for a free Power BI trial.
