Activity 5.01: The Sakila video store

You are the database administrator of the Sakila video store. As there is a lot of competition, the manager wants to do some marketing and reduce costs. The manager asks your help in obtaining the following information from the database:

  • Finding the total number of films the store has with a PG rating. This is needed for advertisements.
  • Finding films in which Emily Dee performed as an actor. This is also needed for advertisements.
  • Finding the customers who rented the most items. The manager needs this to see what the impact of a loyalty program would be.
  • Finding the film that resulted in the biggest income. This is so the manager knows what films should be bought next year.
  • Finding the email address of the customer living in Turkmenistan. This is so they can be sent a questionnaire to get some feedback from a customer who doesn't live close to the store. The manager is thinking of increasing shipping costs.
