Installing and using Oracle GoldenGate Director Client to manage the GoldenGate instances


In this recipe, you will learn how to install the Oracle GoldenGate Director Client and then add the Oracle GoldenGate instances to the configuration. You will also learn how to manage the Oracle GoldenGate instances through the Oracle GoldenGate Director Client.

Getting ready

For this recipe, we will refer to the GoldenGate setup done in the Setting up a simple GoldenGate replication configuration between two single node databases recipe in Chapter 2, Setting up GoldenGate Replication. Both the source and target GoldenGate instances of this setup will be configured in the GoldenGate Director setup. For the GoldenGate Director server setup, we will refer to the set up performed in Installing Oracle GoldenGate Director Server in this chapter. The GoldenGate Director server must be up and running.
