PCM has a module to allow management to provide this information to the Cost Worksheet; it is the Trends module. We have also provided a column on both the budget and commitment side of the Worksheet for this information to be placed. This column is the Adjustments column. The following screenshot shows how a Trend document is allocated to the proper Cost Worksheet column:

Any information that management wants to enter, that they know, will affect the project monetarily needs to be entered in the Trends module. Most of the time there are only costs entered that affect the commitment side of the spreadsheet. In other words; the project management team may know about some upcoming extra costs or cost savings that PCM would have no way of knowing. They also may know about a particular unapproved Change Order in the system that will not get approved. These are the things that needs to get entered on a monthly basis and allows the project management input into the bottom line of the project...
