Email and calendar integrations

A common requirement for Sales Teams is to be able to record emails related to Opportunities against the Opportunity, Contact, and Account Records. Sales Cloud has a few different options to support this. At the time of writing, they are also phasing out a previous option for synching Outlook and Gmail: Lightning Sync. This is not available for new Sales Cloud users but is still operational for those that turned the feature on before Winter 2021.

In this section, we will look at the options available for syncing emails, events, and contact data into Sales Cloud, starting with Lightning Syn.

Lightning Sync

Lightning Sync is no longer available to new Sales Cloud customers. However, this might provide an option if it is already enabled in your Org while you consider the other alternatives.
