Publishing your game


Once a game has been created, exported, and ready for release, it's time to publish the game and share it with people. There are many ways to go about this and each platform has its own options. The Windows platform is the cheapest and easiest option, which makes it the most common with GameMaker developers.

Publishing a game is the process of releasing the game to the public and allowing people to play it through some means. This could be on a personal website or by using a distribution service. Any game made with GameMaker is free to distribute as you wish, so distribution options are ultimately limitless.
