Summary

In this chapter, you learned how to play sound files of different types based on the target platform. You also learned the difference between playing music and sound effects, and multiple ways to play sound in HaxeFlixel.

With sounds, the game is really starting to come together. Sounds help tie together the gameplay and art and make it feel cohesive.

In the next chapter, we're going to work with JSON and XML files to make the game more easily configurable and to liven up the gameplay by giving enemies movement patterns!
