How to do it...

To create an HDRP project with an HDRI skybox, perform the following steps:

  1. Create a new HDRP project.
Note: You might be asked about upgrading materials for the HDRP. If so, agree and wait for the project to finish initializing.
  1. Open the Package Manager (you can do this by navigating to Window | Package Manager), and ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the HDRP package.
  2. In the Project panel, create a new folder called HDRI_sky
  3. In this new folder, create a new scene named HDRI sky scene.
  4. Import the provided HDRI_ Kloppenheim06 folder. Then, in the Project panel, select the kloppenheim_06_4k asset file inside that folder. 
  5. In the Inspector panel, change the Texture Shape to Cube, the Max Size to 4096, and then click on the Apply button. Depending on the speed of your computer, it might take a few seconds for these properties to be...
