By the end of this Blender book, you’ll be able to model your own 3D characters, objects, and landscapes; rig, animate, and texture your characters; 3D track live-action footage; and composite your 3D characters into live-action scenes.

Congratulations! You have now successfully modeled your own 3D character! Using the techniques covered in this chapter, you will be able to create a 3D model of almost anything that you can imagine. It's a constant process of tweaking and toggling between the front, side, and 3D views of your model, shaping it to your reference images. Remember to keep an eye on the edge flow, trying to maintain a natural flow around your mesh. The most important part of 3D modeling is practice; that is the only way to get better at it! Start by creating simple, basic characters and slowly try to create more complex characters and other objects.

In the next chapter, we will rig our character using bones, which will allow us to bring our character to life using animation!
