To record and edit sound files, you need an audio editor. Similar to graphic and model editors, countless options exist, both free and proprietary.
Tip
The jMonkeyEngine team recommends Audacity, which you get for free (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). This user-friendly software is open source, and provides you with a solid set of sound recording, editing, and conversion tools.
You can choose any audio software that is able to export sounds in the supported file formats: jMonkeyEngine supports Ogg Vorbis audio compression inside .ogg
file containers, and uncompressed PCM audio in .wav
file containers.
