Extending the quests with mini games


In previous quest examples, the quests are completed in the virtual world environment such as talking with NPCs and socializing with friends. However, the forms of quests are not limited to the environments of the virtual world. Quests can be another mini game that players play with the computer or with other players.

We had the hand-in item example that used the duck item. Now we are going to make another quest example that players are required to hunt the duck in the shooting game and collect enough ducks to hand in to the hunter.

In the quest, a hunter NPC said that he needed 50 ducks and asked whether the player can hunt the ducks for him. The score of the duck shooting game will be stored as the progress of the quest. When the number of hunted ducks reaches 50, the player is able to hand over the duck item to the hunter.
