Sending news feed to Facebook


News feed in Facebook shows what friends are doing. Any actions from friends will become news feed in Facebook. It can be a friend updated the album, comment on other friends, playing a game in Facebook, or anything. We can make use of news feed to let players share their latest information inside the virtual world. For example, we can let players post news when they finish a quest.

In order to publish news feed via API, we need the publish_stream permission. The permission of publishing stream is a super set of the update status permission we just used. Therefore, granting the permission of the publishing stream will also allow us to update the status.

We will pop up a dialog when we finish a quest. The dialog asks the players whether they want to publish this news or not. Players can also leave comments on the news.
