Layout Book settings

Let's right-click on the green Layout Book icon on the top of the list and select Book Settings. This will bring up the Book Settings dialog box, which will allow you to define how the IDs (that is, the numbering) of the items of the Layout Book palette will behave. You can also create a new issue and set up how numbering will behave in revisions. We will discuss the last two areas in detail in Chapter 8, Work Sharing with ArchiCAD.

The layouts (building blocks of the Layout Book) have a specific editing environment where you can adjust several aspects of the look of the sheets and the placed drawings. The basis of every Layout is the Master Layout. Let's discuss the Master Layout's settings now (see Chapter 3, Documentation – A Residential Project, for more information).
