Now that you have successfully created your first assignment (remember, we designated the type of the first assignment as an Assignment), we can explore the four other types of assignments that you can create using Canvas. The different types of assignments can serve as assessment tools for you and can offer a variety of activities for students to complete. Just as in a live course, students might encounter quizzes, tests, essays, projects, presentations, or debates in your Canvas course. The designated assignment types can accommodate each of these traditional assignment styles in a variety of ways. You are welcome to adapt the designated assignment type to fit your needs.
