This chapter focused on planning the curriculum for your course and explaining the elements within edX necessary for launching it.

You were introduced to the edX Course Matrix. You learned how to prepare your course's About page, write the various preliminary documents for your course, improve your knowledge of learning sequences, design exercises and assessments, choose textbooks and materials, moderate the discussion forum, and launch your course's Wiki. You also previewed the necessary information for the Certificate of Mastery for your course.

In Chapter 3, Producing Videos, we will take the first steps to actually creating our curriculum as we venture into video production. You will understand instructional videos, learn video production pointers, preview post-production processes, review creating video transcripts, and discuss YouTube best practices.
