Moodle has a built-in statistics module, which you can reach via Reports | Statistics in the Site Administration block. By default the component is disabled and has to be changed first alongside some settings.
The Statistics module is deactivated by default due to the fact that the component is very resource-hungry, both in terms of disk space usage and, more importantly, memory usage.
Note
Use the Statistics module only if you really require the information and can accept some potentially significant performance reduction.
