This chapter sees us continuing to enhance our courses, although this time with more advanced multimedia resources and activities. This chapter is going to concentrate on two specific types of technology: SCORM and Flash. Why? Because these are the formats that are easiest to include in course management systems. That means if you are a content provider, then supplying your resources as SCORM or Flash means that they can be used in any course management system (you don't have to worry about producing content dedicated to a specific system). Either format has its own advantages and disadvantages, which we will learn as we advance through this chapter.
