GeoGebra (http://www.geogebra.org) is a multi-award winning software developed by Markus Hohenwarter. With GeoGebra we can create both static and interactive geometry, algebra, and calculus resources for our Moodle courses. The following is a screenshot of GeoGebra in action (we'll show you how to create this example later in this chapter):
Think of GeoGebra as having two views: an algebra view (on the left) and a graphics view (on the right). What's specified in the algebra view is reflected in the graphics view and vice versa. In this chapter, we will be concentrating on geometry (as my Moodle course is all about the Pythagorean Theorem).
Without further ado, let's make a start and get GeoGebra installed on our computers. The following instructions provide details on how to install GeoGebra on a Windows computer.
