Chapter 6 will introduce the concept of "know your audience" and expand on this by making sure that you create your own goals for your Moodle theme before moving on to the "planning and gathering assets" stage. In this section, you will learn about the need to think about the images or graphics that might be required, and will also learn to decide whether animation or static graphics should be used—depending on the audience. Informal research will be the key to this stage. We will then address how we should create the design for the Moodle theme—from a simple paper mockup to a full blown exact copy by using graphics software (a scamp).
