Old age versus childhood

Let's ask our students to imagine themselves as an old man, and then change the attitude of a character in a story. Students should imagine that they are Santiago—an old man in the story, The Old Man and the Sea, by Ernest Hemingway. What would they do instead of catching a great fish? What if the old man decides to sail for adventures instead?

Getting ready

We will design a writing activity in which we will give students the beginning for a story. After the students read the summary of the story in which the end is not disclosed, they are going to write an alternate end to it. We will create a link to the website. After we link the website, students will write the end. We enter the course and choose the Weekly outline section in which we want to add the activity. Let's Moodle it!
